International Centre for Life
The International Centre for Life was first opened in May 2000 , the £70m Centre is one of fourteen UK Millennium landmark projects. Designed by award-winning architect and urban designer, Terry Farrell. The landmark scheme houses the University’s genetics department, a Bioscience Centre with office/laboratory space for private sector bio-technology companies and a visitor attraction designed to inform the public about genetics, DNA and life science in general.
Robson Brown were invited to develop and implement a brand identity for the project. The iconic ‘Life’ logo was the result. At its heart, the ‘chromosome’, the very building blocks of life. How very apt.
