Fresh, Smoke Free North East
Fresh, Smoke Free North East is an alliance of health and local authority bodies operating in areas of poor public health. It unites the voice for the region in improving the North East's health and works around tobacco control issues.
Our campaign for Fresh has provided strategic support for the alliance and kept tobacco control measures at the top of the media's agenda first by campaigning for smokefree legislation, through sustained activity around annual events such as No Smoking day, consultantion around the NHS Reform Bill, and media relations. The team has also worked on widespread grass-roots activity supporting Local NHS Stop Smoking Services across the region.
