The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation

Launched in March 2008, the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation is a charity focusing on early detection and treatment of cancer and trialing of clinical drugs to beat it. Sir Bobby, a former football player and manager, is currently fighting cancer for a fifth time, and is held in affection throughout British, European and world football.
Robson Brown donated its time and expertise to help the Foundation raise an initial £500,000 to equip the Cancer Trials Research Centre at the new Northern Centre for Cancer Care at Newcastle's Freeman Hospital, now bearing Sir Bobby's name. The initial target was reached in just seven weeks. The total now stands at over £1 million.
